Your HVAC Unit needs to “breathe” just like we do. Does it have room? Do you have shrubs around it or any other things restricting the air flow around the outside unit? your HVAC Unit needs clear space with good air flow to operate efficiently. Take a few minutes this weekend and check your outside HVAC Unit for open air flow.
If your HVAC Unit’s fins look like this, CALL US!If you have shrubs around it, trim them back to at least 1 or 2 feet from the unit. Also, if you have loose grass clippings or leave around the base, clear them away. If you find debris on the outside of the unit be careful about cleaning it off. Don’t bend the fins on the cooling coils. If you have damaged or bent fins it will reduce the efficiency of your HVAC Unit.
